The 9 Noble Truths:

Courage
To be brave enough to do what is right in all circumstances.

            -Be brave, don’t be cowardly, face your fears, face responsibility, own up, do the right thing even when it’s hard. Live with courage, fearlessness, guts… be daring, venturesome, bold, lionhearted, and heroic.

Truth
To always speak what is true in one’s heart and mind.

            -Tell the truth, speak the unspoken truth, don’t lie, speak and act on what is true within your heart and mind, your feelings and your thoughts/rationale. Live in truth.

Honor
One’s inner value towards their endeavors, knowing they are of a good and true nature.

            -Uphold honorable status, act in an honorable way, hold yourself in a way you would find honorable, behave honorably to those you care about and who care about you, and live in a way that those people would find honorable. Be an honorable person and honor those you care about and who care about you. Live with honor, and live honorably.

Fidelity
Being true to one’s Self and loyal to one’s Folk and mate.

            -Be true to yourself. Be loyal to yourself and to those you care about. Live with fidelity, being faithful to your self and to others.

Discipline
The ability to be hard with one’s Self first, and then others. The heartiness to carry out goals and endeavors.

            -Pretty self-explanatory. Live with discipline.

Hospitality
Sharing what one has with all Folk, when there is a feast to be had, feast. When there is but bread, break it gladly.

            -Pretty self-explanatory. Live with hospitality.

Work Ethic
To joyfully carry out the tasks of life that support home and family. To be glad and respectful of one’s abilities.

            -Pretty self-explanatory. Live with a good work ethic.

Self-Reliance
To know with heart and mind that one’s spirit is independent and free among all men.

            -Live in a way that you know you can rely on yourself and can be relied on by others you care about. Live with self-reliance.

Perseverance
The spirit of success. The ability for one to follow one’s path regardless of failure or success. To learn from mistakes and recognize the progress of a situation.

            -Pretty self-explanatory. Live with perseverance.

The Six-fold Goal:

Wisdom
Associated with Woden. Wisdom administers to us the secrets of our souls and it has the ability to withstand all manners of forces against it.

            -Strive to be wise in situations and in life, and strive to gain wisdom, strive to live in a way that is wise. Strive to be wise and strive for wisdom.

Right

Associated with Tiw. Right is the justice of laws, ethics, and canons. It is rational above all else.

            -Strive to live in a way that is justified.

Harvest
A product of the Wanes. Harvest is our benefit of the Cycle of Things, the cycles of seasons, stars and knowledge.

            -Strive for a good harvest. Plant seeds that will grow good fruit. Strive for prosperity. Strive to live in a way that is prosperous.

Might
Associated with Thor. Might is the embodiment of Right and Wisdom in physical expression and must serve the Harvest and Firth.

            -Strive to be mighty (impressive, strong, rooted, authentic, and powerful) physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and in presence and demeanor. Strive to live in a way that is mighty.

Firth
Associated with Frey and Freyja. Firth is a true state of inward peace. A knowing of Self and the ability to represent one’s true Self to others at all times.

            -Strive to live in peace and to know your self enough to represent your self truly to others with inner peace. Strive to live in representation of your self in peace.

Love
Love is the goal of living. Love is the act of the lust for life. Love is the combination of all the other truths and is the bond between them.

            -Strive to love and to foster love and to foster a lust for life. Strive to live in love.
